  HISTORY OF MY SCHOOL I studied in Saranath Maha Vidyalaya, kuliyapitiya. The history of my school is very bitter. The journey from the past to the present is very sad.                         Founded on 1st  December 1882. The country's gentleman is the first principal. Started with 30 children in a clapboard building. Became a bilingual school in 1924. In 1977 Madya Maha Vidyalaya become. In 1990 Saranath was consecrated as Maha Vidyalaya. A program called sarabhi vandana started in 137 years. It is a festival of veneration of all Gurus. This event is held every year. Entering 137 years of being crowned as a national school. Now my school is 140 years old. Now my school name is Kuli/Saranath Maha Vidyalaya. Now about 3200 students are studying in my school. About 150 teachers are working.   A DREAM COMING TRUE             Guitar was one of my dreams after being selected for University. Able to play four musical instruments, I also developed a passion for playing the guitar. I worked very hard to bay a guitar with the advice of my mother and father. So, finally I was able to buy a guitar.            Second, I wanted to learn to play the guitar. Tried basic playing techniques online. In the meantime, I was able to join the University's WhatsApp group. Through that, I met friends who play the guitar. I massaged those friends. They wanted to help me. So, I am now learning the basice of playing the guitar. I am very happy that guitar is better than before. But, I still don't have the ability to play the guitar very well.   THE FIRST DAY I WENT TO SCHOOL I first went to the school on 08.01.2005. To was the first day that not only me but also my brother went to school. My brother and I went to school at N/K Halmillakotuwa K.V. We went to school that morning hanging on the arms of mom and dad. The brothers and sisters is front of the school welcomed us with a bunch of flowers. The priest of the school performed religious rites and took us to the main hall. We were shown beautiful dances, songs and dramas. Then we were all taken to the first year class. The class teacher come to the class and recited a beautiful poem.   MY FAVORITE TV CHANNEL My favorite it channel is Independent Tv channel. This is Sri Lanka’s first television channel. Founded on 13 th April 1979 by Mr. Shan Wickramasinhaghe. The original name was T.V. Sri Lanka. Famous programs aired on independent television are KOPIKADE, ATAPATTAMA and DORAMADALAWA. All these three were broadcast in the year 2001 Kopikade is a Tv drama that changed the history of Asia.   Atapattama is a program that showed the world amazing things. A program that won the love of the oudience by receiving a record of 12 consecutive awards. Just like Atapattama Mr. Hasantha Hettiarachchi’s Doramadalawa program is also a vary important program. It is a program that has won the most audience responses, which has told the world a lot of knowledge.                 So, this is the only channel that has gifted such important programs to the world. I AM NATIVE DISTRICT The district where I was born is Kurunegala district. Kurunegala is the capital of north western province. There are several main places in Kurunegala district. Among them, Athugala stone temple, Yapahuwa, Paduwasnuwara and Rambodagalla buddha statue. 01 Athugala stone temple.               The height of Athugala rock is 325m.   ONE OF MY FAVORITE SINGER   HELAYE MAHA GANDHARVAYANAN   (PANDIT W.D. AMARADEWA.)                       M r. W.D. Amaradeva is a Sri Lankan singer was born on 5 December 1927 in Moratuwa. He is    the youngest of the family of six children. His first name was Albert Perera of Vannathuwaththa Waduge.        At an early age, Amaradewa was musically inspired by his father and he was also an excellent violinist through the violin he made out of wood.   Amaradeva was educated at Sri Saddharmodaya mixed school.
